Meet My Niece Anna.
On September 17, 2010, at the age of 2, she was diagnosed with
Non-Hodgkin's T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Since Anna's diagnosis, she has been an inspiration to us.
Calico customers and friends have made well over 600 quilts and 500 pillowcases in her honor for the children of Cardinal Glennon and special children in Southern Illinois and Kentucky. We have donated the materials and customers have lovingly donated their time. The quilts are given to newly diagnosed patients, and to any child who just needs the love and comfort a special quilt can give.
In 2017 Anna asked if we could add art supplies to Anna's Quilts. Anna's Quilts & Art Supplies was born and she became busy filling bags for kids at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO. About 200 filled art bags have been distributed.
Our beatiful Anna is currently a junior in high school. We are thankful every day for her health. Please continue to remember all the children still fighting this disease. It's an honor to give them a little comfort at a very scary time. Thank you, Chuck
